I’ve got thick skin and a caring heart 

that will always protect you. No matter 

how much pain, no matter how much

damage, I will fight to keep you safe. I will risk my

mind and body to protect the warmness within my

heart that reaches out for you. You are slowly dying but I 

will trench through wasted love to save your last breath.

For you have given us a land of beauty and wonder.

I will fight with smiles and kindness to save you.

Earth,

    Dear Elena,
    This poem is such a good emulation from Sia’s song elastic heart the first time I read in your journal I thought it was so cool now that you have touched things up a little bit it is even better.
    Things that I would fix would be the first line of the poem it seems like it’s missing something that I cannot put my finger on. If it has a stronger opening line I feel like it could be outstanding because it would draw the reader in more than already are. “Which is a lot”.

    in conclusion I loved the poem and can’t wait to read more of them since you are already so talented from what I can tell.
